Hey fellas i been searching for days on google for this answer and finally decided to make an account. Has anyone taken the baffle/silencer out of the upper part of the intake above the SC? the box that runs along side of the valve cover and has the oil separator/pcv valve on it?n ive already taken the baffle inside the aluminum housing on the SC. i found a broken intake in the junk yard and it seems that piece just comes out. pics attached

? Silencer? No it just catches oil. You remind me to re-install my oil catch I used to have installed.
These cars suck a lot of oil through the intercooler and make a mess.
If you want to get the full whine of the supercharger you must remove the plenum to find the
silencer there, and plug one hole in the plenum with a bolt that of course must be firmly attached with locktite.
I would not mess with that oil catch thing.

Dont mess with that, its to catch oil not to mess with the SC sound, like the other guy said the silencing baffle will be inside the supercharger. I removed it from my car earlier this year and find it made a little bit of difference but in my opinion is not worth the time.
There is a silencer part inside and Mercedes calls it damper A1110940183, the oil separator is a centrifugal type and only in the round, thin part at the end.
And, if the recirculation flap is open, the air and sound goes back into this damper.
