for C240 the 0-60 mph time is 8.2 for the manual and 8.7 for the automatic. i'm not sure about the 1/4 mile times. Mine does 0-60 mph in 4.9 sec and 1/4 mile in 13.5 sec.

i'm still jealous of you though...

can i trade my car with your girlfriend....

I think you may need to use a calendar to time the 1/4 mile for a 240 sedan :p

Its hard to compare 0-60 times from the various magazines since some wind it up and others just let it accelerate gradually. If you really want to compare check the offical numbers that MB publishes in their brochures.

The numbers that MB reports are generally much higher than what magazines report.

2005 smart cabrio; 2008 Mercedes-Benz B 200
C 240 sedan performance

Car and Driver tested one (6 speed manual) in January 2001:

0-60 MPH: 8.8 s
0-100 MPH: 23.8 s
0-120 MPH: 38.0 s

s.s. 1.4 mile: 16.7 s @ 85 MPH

Top speed: 143 MPH (so much for the speed limiter, eh?)

23.0 MPG US overall

It's no rocket sled but it's fast enough to drive very quickly indeed.

The manual C 230 K is about a second quicker than the C 240 in the 0-60 and 1/4 mile run.

What's bizzare in car-stats.com is that the C230 is quicker in the 1/4 mile than the C320. I've driven both and the C320 feels quicker to me, even with the automatic.

I agree, that is wierd. I have seen magazine published 1/4 mile times for the c320 for @ 15.1. The C230 sportecoupe numbers however look accruate. My best stock run was 15.77 @ 89mph.

are u serious i thought they can do better than that. i actually did not belive anywhere where i saw the coupe at 15.7 i thought it can doat least a 15.5 i have an auto and i better not get a 15.7 or else i will be pist. did u mess up while shifting? cause i am going to race my friend at the track soon he has a 2001 prelude 5 speed with just an intake and muffler and ran a 15.2 i was actually going to bet him $500.00 i would beat him but i am gettin scared i know he will win. I've raced him a cupple times not on the track, but i was right with him for a while but then there was a red light i better do some mods to my car quick to beat him i guess.
