I used to have a bmw 328i and I so hated cleaning the wheels. the brake dust on the bmw wheels was sticky and hard to wipe clean. fortunately, the one on the mercedes isn't sticky and it would come off easily. also the wheels don't get dirty as fast as the ones on the bmw. with the bmw, 3 days driving and the wheels would get all dirty

Pretty nice looking car.... makes me miss my late 01 c240. I'm in the process of buying a new car, got a few on my mind like a new 330ci, c320, is300, etc. Brings tears to my eyes after seeing your's because I loved my benz. hehe

Brake Dust! I hear ya. I also had a BMW & I think they are all the same with the brake dust. On the BMW & Merc the brake dust is mostly on the front wheels. When I had my Porsche the brake dust was mostly on the back wheels. That would be a great invention; brake pads that don't discard huge amounts of dust or maybe a lighter dust that would just blow off in the air.
I clean my wheels all the time so that way it doesn't build up.
Well, I'm just killing time before going to have turkey with the family. Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone.

They got 'em! Rotex pads worked great on my dads 99 E320. Months of driving (about 30k miles a year and aggressive driving) with NO DUST! And whatever dust was there easily came off in the wash. They cost the same as MB pads, stop a little better, and are quieter. Unfortunately Rotex doesnt make a pad for the w203. But there are other companies out there. Porterfield makes them I think...

Thanks Ruben. I wash my car once every two weeks. The nice thing about Granite Grey is, it hides dirt well like silver does. Im off to work. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

i followed your lead and washed my car today. dammit after two hours of washing it, drying it, and cleaning the wheels, the car looks the same from a distance. all the hard work and people can only see the difference up close

Yeah Mick, Thats what sucks about silver. Just wait until you clay, polish and wax. After spending a whole day on my car, You see minimal improvement

haven't got to that stage yet but i did polish the chrome muffler and made it real shiny my car got the perma plate thing. it works well when it rains. the sides of the car would look dirty but the top area (front, roof, trunk) would look very clean when the car is dry. first time i saw it, i thought it was amazing but i really paid too much for the perma plate
