hi guys,

I have 2007 C230 Sport, i have the harmon kardon sound system with the cd changer. no tele aid or navigation. ive looked around and heard that US - Spec benz's come pre wired. But I live in Canada. Im not sure if my car is prewired for cell phone. I have all the button on the dash and steering wheel and when I push them is says no phone cnnected. How do I tell if my car is pre wired?

in the US, the 2005-2006's came pre-wired but the 2007's did not. Now, this does not mean that the pre-wired cars are ready for a phone. They still need quite a few expensive parts to get the whole phone kit working. The pre-wired cars in the US have the middle compartment in the arm-rest

i have read around and heard that pre wired cars have a dual armrest storage compartment. My car has the single one and thats all. nothing inside. So is there any other way to tell, like does the rear antenna on the window mean its prewired, i dont have that either.

Also if it is prewired where is the external mic. Is this one of the expensive parts that you have to add????

I have an 07 with the dual arm rest. I just need a few more items but i gave up.

that explains what the wires going to the dual armrest are for.

Anyway to de-program the 'phone' portion on my menu screen. I am not going to get it and it is tiresome having to alway bypass it when I scroll through the menus

Hey i have a 02 c320 and it just unplugs simple as that..

There's a small button on the left of the cradle. Press that while sliding the entire cradle toward the rear of the car, it should pop up.
