2005 c230k all of a sudden does not crank or start, rain during night, coincidence?
I've searched through threads here, and some do say that rain had something to do with it. For example, here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...tarting-2.html
Similar symptoms as posted by the post# 27 by polorl49 except my fuse box in the front is not that wet. The only wet part is the wiring on the driver's side that swims it's way from the top of the hood, there's some water there. Could it have anything to do with water and if it does, how long to wait before i can expect to test if it is water?
I had a similar issue with this car in 2021, the car just never started and it was the starter. This time, it happened all of a sudden during a very rainy day. The thing is, it's been over 3 years, and i have had during those 3 years, instances where there was much heavier rain and the car still started. Granted I might not have driven that car during those rainy times because I have another car that I drive, I don't remember if I drove the other car during extreme rain instead of this 2005 c230k.

I know some cases that after a heavy rain water was going into the front SAM and destroyed it. The drains of the cowl on the driver side is hard to reach and prone to congest. The starter is also right below.

There should be no water at all getting into the hood. 
Have you tried sticking a coat hanger or some sort of flexible rod down the drain holes?
Without fixing this, you'll just fry the ECU again, even if you replace it.
