For Those in the San Jose Area....
I had to have my car serviced so I took it to Smythe European. As I was walking into the parking lot of the dealership, there it was. A "Silver" 2005 SLR McLaren sticker price $452,500. Word has it a gentleman from the Chicago Area had purchased it and was due to pick it up "soon". The last time I checked the car was still in the showroom of Smythe. Probably the only one I will ever see in person. If you have a minute to take a look at it, I highly recommend you do.

For those in southern california, every saturday in newport beach at the Crystal Cove shopping center, there's a "rich man's" get together at 7am. You can see Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Bentley's etc. Porche GT and SLR has also been spotted recently. Here's a recent photo archive:

Dave- there is a launch party I think the 17th of Jan. at Smythe. I just got the newsletter from MB Club. They will have the Maclaren SLR as well as the new CLS500 there. Also food and drinks will be served. Reservations are like $5.
