Detached hood release cable
Hi everyone,
The cable for the hood release latch of my 2001 c240 has come detached from the handle. I can still see the cable and I don't think the handle is broken, but when I pull on the cable either by hand or with pliers it doesn't budge from its current position. Is it stuck on something under the hood or will I have to remove the panel around it to get a better grip on the cable?

When you do finally get this open be sure to spray some WD-40 on the latches. Mine was getting really tough to open and I was afraid something like what you had happened. Anyway I've heard you can unlock it from underneath the car. There's a few threads some recent if you search around just a little bit.
