CL-Fault possible causes

Today when I started up my car to drive home from class I noticed the idle felt a little different and on a whim plugged in my scanner to see if anything would pop up, no codes were had but I did notice that the fuel system 1 was showing CL-Fault instead of the normal Closed loop operation you would expect. (yes I did wait until the car was at operating temp and checked again and it was still there). Other than that CL fault and the idle feeling different I didnt notice anything off about how the car drives. from my understanding closed loop operation means that the car's fuel system is a self correcting mode where the ECM uses real-time data from the oxygen sensor, maf sensor, map sensor, and coolant temp to constantly maintain a proper fuel mixture. So if its showing CL fault that means its running on one of the presaved tables for mixture right? Any ideas what could cause that fault and not show any codes or other symptoms other than an idle that feels maybe a little less smooth. is it finally time for me to do an actual leak test on the intake and start the neverending task of replacing hoses? Googling this question didnt give me much help (ai slop seems to dominate the internet lately) and I thought maybe asking here I could get help from someone who knows these engines and cars well. Yep, you're right about everything. In the absence of codes, I would also start with a smoke test on the intake system.

I suppose it had been a while since i had to fix anything. hopefully it doesnt end up being something too annoying, i really hate taking apart that half of the engine bay.
