New owner m111k
I want to do some things to make a fun daily that i can slide around every once in a while. Just a valved exhaust, coilovers or springs, and a intake.
I need to take care of my headlights, should i go aftermarket or new lenses?
A sound system upgrade will be the first thing i do. Just basic to enjoy on the daily, what do you guys recomend for this platform? i dont understand anything about eletronics and sound systems
Also... does running GPL/LPG change the sound of the exhaust at all?
You can also play around with the alignment too. More front negative camber, less rear negative camber... slight negative toe out in the front and slight positive toe (or zero toe) in the rear. There are so many ways to set it up, and it's very dependent on personal preference. As you add more adjustability into your suspension, it allows for better fine tuning, but it also opens up more possibilities of setting things improperly.
About your headlights. I'm currently upgrading my halogens to LEDs using The Retrofit Lab's LED kit, and I'm also replacing the lenses with new. This ought to bring my headlights forward a few decades, but I haven't finished them yet, so I can't say how well they perform. The aftermarket headlamps you purchase are likely going to allow for halogen bulbs, so they won't be much brighter than your stock lamps, but they will have a cool aesthetic to them.

Hmmmm......

If you put an AMG bar on the back (cheap mod)
and leave the front bar as it, will probably be squirrely as
F. Put a pulley on it if you can find one, a
and slinny tires. There's a video around here somewhere of a
guiy who drift races his 02 M111 C coupe.
C could has almosrt perfect 50.50 balance,
Engine sits behind the front axle so
it's basically front miid engine.
My sway bar set up is just right..
Tight ,no wallow, and glides thriough corners.
Perfectly balanced.
Feels like a BMW. I don't know why Mercedes insists on having almost all their
cars have oversteer.
