Where to get an alignment?
Where is a good place to get an alignment around the San Jose area? I've had one done before but have noticed some uneven tread wear so I don't think it was done very well.

Hey Greg, I was told that the best option in the bay area is Topline up in Burlingame. I was quoted $150 for alignment and camber adjustment, but that sounds kinda high to me. Either way, I want to get it done pretty soon. If you find out a better place, let me know.

i usually go to Smythe European (my dealer) they only do it for $163 if i remember right...
btw i live San Jose too
i ask most other place they just ask me go back to dealer they said they don't know how to work on MB...

I have used four wheel drive service shops to do alignment on German cars. I have had very good results. A good alignment gives you are car that is a joy to drive. Predictable handling, no pulling, even tire wear, and easy steering are the benifits.
The bottom line is the tech that does the job. He not only has to "string" the car correctly, but he has to know what to do when meerly setting the measurements does not yield acceptable performance. A good offroad 4 wheel shop can do this.
