rear hatch squeeking

lately in the cold, my rear hatch had been squeeking like crazy when i go over certain bumps. Can someone tell me exactly where it is so i can either fix it or have the dealer fix it. It bothers me a lot, i hate rattle and squeeks.

Well if it's warranty just tell them. I (female dog)ed about squeaks...they fixed 'em.
Car is very nice now. Just took 3 years 3 sunroofs, and many other things, to get all the bugs out. I think the hatch is adjustable at the latch to make it tighter.

Are you sure it is the hatch? My sunroof squeeks and rattles in the cold going over bumps and such. It is very annoying, but it only happens in the extreme cold temperatures. My hatch never makes any noise.

My hatch also squeaks. The dealer replaced the back cover and the window trim. They also put felt inside the rear window trim. The rear window trim helped, but it didn't completely fix it. I think I've narrowed it down to the two rubber rub strips that are suppose to make the hatch cover fit tight. I can make it squeak by rubbing the rear hatch cover on them. The squeak goes away completely when I remove the rear hatch cover, which I have done. I will have the dealer put felt on the two rubber rub strips on my next trip in.

To think my only problems have been a squeaky hatch cover and now a squeaky driver's seat. Pretty good car overall.

Put some armor all on the rubber pads that contact the hatch interior trim. I did this, and it makes the noise go away for several weeks, until the sunlight dries the armor all. Its easy, and requires no modification of the trim or deck cover.

I used silicon lubricant. Works great. Just don't spray it near any sensors. (i.e. spray it on a cloth and rub the rubber seal around the hatch with it)
