Merc drive by wire throttles in the American market are programmed this way - two fixes. Buy a Sprintbooster or have an ECU tune done.

Read what is being discussed on the new Sprintbooster thread - Just read beyond the nitpicking because it's meaningless.

Thread resurrection alert!
I've been searching this issue for a little wile now and this is the closest report that I can find to what I am experiencing.
What happens with me is there is a feeling of a miss on the 2-3 shift (At least I think that shift... the damn thing has 7 gears so its hard to keep track)
oh, BTW, 2007 C230 sport 2.5L auto
It will rev up and go to shift, and there is a period where the car stops accelerating, enough to toss your head foward a little bit. Its not violent or anything, just annoying.
It seems to get better when the car warms up, but it's a while after the engine is up to temp, so Im assuming the tranny has to get up to temp.
I stumbled upon the adaptive driving reset procedures where you turn the key on and floor the throttle for 5 seconds, so I'll give that a shot.
Has anyone else experienced what I am describing here? It's still under warranty, but I'm hoping the reset will cure it.
TIA!

A throttle reset will help too. I haven't tried the sprint booster, but i'd be willing to.
When i reset my throttle, that lag seemed minimal, but now it's back... time to reset again. :-p

Yea, I did that last night, and it was still jerky on the upshifts (auto trans) this morning until it warmed up fully. I just dont have 15 minutes every morning to sit there in the car.

Well it's at the dealer, and they are saying they don't feel it. It does it every single time it shifts into 3rd until it warms up after a good 15 minutes of driving. Pretty frustrating that I'm going to have to drive up there again and take them for a ride just so I can say, "You don't feel that???" when it shifts into third.
They said there are no codes or leaks. Well there you have it, all must be well I guess I will have to tell them to flash it with the newest software. I'd imagine they should do that anyway, along with the recall that they performed.

i have an 07 , and i feel the rough shift very early in the morning, especially with the cold temp we have had in OH. however it only lasts for 5 minutes in my case. i think it is not a software issue but all the fluids getting to optimal temp.

Does it only do it on the 2-3 shift, or is it on all shifts?
Mine is only 2-3, the rest are very noticably smoother. That's what leads me to think something is wrong. I expect it to be a little sluggish on the shifts until the fluid warms up and reduces in viscosity. The Ford Fusion loaner car they gave me is much smoother first thing in the morning, even if you dont let it warm up at all.
