can someone please help me to safely take my door panels off. i am in the process of installing my system, and i don't want to break anything.

Pop off the SRS airbag plastic thing. There is a torx screw underneath it (T30 I think). Underneath the handle there is another plastic pop-out piece covering another torx screw (T30). Remove the c-shaped plastic piece by the door latch (1 small torx screw).

After that, you just need a panel tool or plastic wedges (ideal) to pop the panel retainers off.

ok, i got the srs deal out, i got the tweeter enclosure off, and the rear torx, but am having trouble getting the cover behind the door latch. also do i need to remove the cover for the door switches? if so how

Did you get the torx screw underneath the pull handle? There's a round plastic piece covering it.

You do not need to do anything with the door unlatching lever or the plastic surrounding it.

ok, now i have the whole door panel off except the top edge under the window. i can't seem to get it to slide up.

Ahh, I was a little bit apprehensive about that part myself. The top part is tucked into a several clips. I think you want to roll the window down and pull the top part upwards. That should do it. Do not pull from the bottom, or you may break the panel. That would be bad. Those things are expensive, I have heard.

ok, i will give it another try tommorow, i am a little scared, it is pretty stubborn, but the whole thing is free but the damn top part. wish me luck
