Tranny fluid?

Does MB use synthetic tranny fluid in regards to the C230K sedan?

Newer = what years? Mine is shifting hard when cold and it's 17 degrees
outside. After it warms up, the shifts are smoother. My ride as 43k on it
and I'm thinking of changing fluid.

This is interesting. This morning at 16 degrees F, my 05 wasn't shifting smoothly. RPMs went higher than usual shifting from first to second to third. When the car warmed up, it was smooth again.

whenever the temperature is low, it is normal for the car to shift at higher rpm's to bring the CAT temperature up faster to eliminate pollution. Do a search on this forum as it was discussed earlier.

Your 2000 C280 uses the synthetic transmission fluid.
