E-Brake assembly
Yesterday we dropped from 65 degrees to 27 degrees. Apearently, my e-brake froze. I guess I shouldn'd have used it. Local shop said the retaining spring may have come loose?
Symtoms; with e-brake off, one click per rotation.
with e-brake partially on (barely) the clicking stops, release the e-brake, and it returns...
HEEEEEEEEEELP
If I drive with the e-brake pedal slightly depressed, the noise stops. It's the e-brake. There was a lot of rain the past couple days, and as I was working on the car (with the e-brake on), the temp dropped to 27 degrees.
I fear that as I drove away, the stuck e-brake "popped", and I think I bent/broke/ or popped the spring/clip.
Need to know if there is a hardware kit I need to repair!
