Headers?

We, at evosport are looking to make headers for V6 Mercedes-Benz engines. In order to keep prices low we would like to see what kind of interest there is in the community. Our headers will feature following:

1. One piece 3/8’’ (10 mm) head flanges for long, leak free life
2. CNC machined, billet steel collector flanges
3. 1.5’’ (38 mm) primaries for 2.6L and 3.2L normally aspirated engines
4. 1.75’’ (44 mm) primaries for 3.2L Kompressor engines.
5. HiTemp anti-corrosion coating.

Headers will be very similar in design to our V8 headers. We will need 10 people to commit, pricing will be somewhere between $1500-2000.

Thanks,
Brad

For 1000$, count me in

Thank you for your reply. Let me probe you a bit:

1. Would this answer change realizing that supersprint is more expensive and has no coating?
2. Would this answer change realizing that you would likely wait an average delay for product is 8-16 weeks from supersprint?
3. Would this answer change realizing that supersprint will make less HP?

This is all valuable information, so please feel free to answer candidly.

Thanks,
Brad

We either have to get one person who will pay a premium, or ten who want a good value and the best header.

But we would sertainly do it if one of the above conditions is met.

Thanks,
Brad

I assume one car would have to be the guneau pig. Any projected gains, or increased performance over the existing supersprint version?

I'd be up for a group buy. Are we allowed to use those words again?

Are the supersprint headers the same for the M111 and M271? The site says "All C230 Kompressors." I assume no, but could be wrong. What are the hp gains for them anyway?

I take it as you do not have headers for M111, meaning you have to research and build one, no?

Correct. We would need a car locally for the first one.

Gains would be 5-10HP min. over Supersprint. The SS does not have a great collector, and this is worth that HP alone.

They are different.

These are coated with a NASA-Spec true thermo-barrier ceramic coating. Chrome is not available.

Count me in, if we can get enough M111 owners to sign on.

I have a '03 C320 Coupe, and I live in Orange, CA. That's pretty close to Huntington Beach. Any benefits for the guinea pig car?

They will be CARB-pending at first, but yes, the intention is to CARB anything for newer models.

Thanks,
Brad

If anyone is interested in a group buy of the headers. Send me an e-mail to ricky.agrawal@gmail.com with the following information!

First & Last Name:

Year & Model of your Mercedes:

This is not a contract, but it is appreciated that you do not just simply sign up and then bail at the last moment. This will ensure that you will get the latest news on the headers made by Evosport for your car.

C'mon all! I know you are all just joking around, but in fact, Ricky is not representing evosport. He is getting a set of headers himself and asked to see if he could help get a better deal for other board users. I gave him the opportunity to do just that. I would expect you guys to be appreciative of an opportunity to get a great product at a great deal!

Thanks,
Brad
