Is it really that bad to drive a 6speed..... I waited 3 months when i ordered mine just because i wanted the 6speed over the auto. Only 6% of all mercedes benz even come with a manual transmission..
Did you read about the few tranny leaks on the auto's of the 2005's???
Just make sure you are positive before you loose money.

Thanks Biznatch. I am thinking VERY HARD about this since I stand to lose thousands of dollars. I drove an auto at the dealer yesterday and liked it, but is it worth losing $8-10K? Any billionaires in this forum who want to donate $10k to help me out? Hehe.... ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Yeah, I did read about the auto tranny leaks. Supposedly they are easy to fix, no?

it's too bad i'm in ohio and you're in california
, i would swap trannys with you in a second for free! i want a 6-speed bad and even considered doing it to my car but figured it would be either a) impossible or b) way too much of a hassle and way too much money, ah well...

this swap.... if i recall from out email would cost an est. 7k in parts (and 5 k in labor from the place you got the quote from).
The way this was going i thought you were trading parts with the other fellow?? Grand total cost of parts ZERO!!!!
5k seems very high and i would est. that you can get the job done locally for 2-3k at MOST. dont give up!!! keep looking!!! remember that is Kleemann's quote.
