C230 Coupe 2002
![Cool](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon6.gif)
Just to let you know that the Coupe still lives here in Canada in 06 and will come with the 3.5 liter engine. Availability is late June or early July. I emailed MB to get conformation and just recieved the reply that its a go. I have read that the Coupe is gone in 06 in the US. To bad for them as the C350 would be a fun car with 272 hp.

C230K Coupe/Orion/C4/C5/CD/AMG Spoiler/V60/TeleAid, 2 MGB's
I find it odd that MB-USA has sold every C Coupe (in fact, there is reportedly a short supply) and is still taking orders for the current model, yet they plan on stopping imports? That just doesn't add up.

LOL, personally i am resolved to fly over red states
Living here in Seattle it would be a short trip and well worth it. But i assume it won't be as simple as purchasing the car and registering it in washington.... Anyone know?

C-Coupe - WHY
Interesting it is that the coupe dies in the USA but continues in Canada. Car sells in low numbers with apparently huge incentives, high price, questionable looks, average performance - hmm, I cannot understand why they would continue this model? Why would you not bye the G35 or another?

2003 Citron Green C230KMT
i may be biased, but the C-coupe is one of the best bang for your buck IMO. im sad to see it go, but happy i have mine. its not super fast, and not super sexy, but its a great all around car. the car was entry level, and not meant for top of the line. it filled the spot well. when teh B-class arrives it will be all the ***** talking the coupe did im sure.
and like vadim said, the coupe sold well with little adverts. i remember only one advert for the coupe, out of the many Love MB, E-Class, 5th Gen SL, and many many C-sedan adds. its the end of the model line anyhow. the 204's are right around the corner and we will all be the previous bodystyle soon enough!

Well said Citron. I would be willing to bet the "square headed" *****s at MBUSA are more disapponted than even vadim with the sales numbers for the coupe. On a more positive note, they got the sport sedan write. You guys are lucky to have all the cool stuff (sport packet und AMG cladding) standard. I guess it is the case of putting your efforts on the cars they can sell.

One of the points that MB-USA are missing is that the C Coupe is a niche car. The "entry-level" in the C Class are, in fact, C240 and C230SS - from which one will "upgrade" to E/S-Class sedans. Not quite so in case of the Coupe. Many Coupe owners have already stated that they are going to keep it for a long time and not trade it even if they decide to get a new car. Granted, there are a lot of folks who were drawn to the Coupe because it was/is the least expensive car MB offers, but there are many others who chose it while being able to afford a different MB model. To them, a move from this wonderful hatchback to a sedan is not an upgrade, but a move to a 272HP C Coupe would be!

Good points Vadim!! I would love to drive the C350 coupe. Would be a rocket although price might be an issue. Seems the cars are always best either at end or when they are already gone.

Too sad! This platform is more or less proven; I can only imagine how quirky the new W204 will be, especially in its first model year!

Canada numbers vs. USA
Large numbres is a relative term. It is worth to bring into Canada as a 1000 or so is huge considering Canada yearly sales. However, USA sales are almost 10x what canada sells. If you are not making much money on a car, especially one which sells limited numbers, bring in 1000 more AMG models instead. Take s the same effort from MB and they make lots more $. Unfortunately there are never solutions which are not a compromise. Hopefully I will have chance to drive C350 coupe here in Germany.

I'm keeping my 2003 C320 V6 Sports Coupé for ever !
and with my chip, pulleys, air filter, and exhaust mods,
I love my 250 HP performance...
sure it's not the 272 HP in the new 350 Coupé,
but darn the exterior of my car looks identical to the 350 from the pics so far.
Love what you drive !
