Bought a BMW X5.

Hi guy's

As some of you might know that my lease was up on my 2002 C230 end of this month. I have an friend who works at BMW which got me into a Nice X5 this weekend. Good addition to our family.

They took my c230 off my hands and gave me $1000 cash on it. I also got my security deposit back from MB towards the BMW.

The BMW X5 i bought is an Black 2005 4.4i. There is also free service on it for 3 years which was great. I will take delivery of it next week. Will try to post some pics. for you guy's.

I bet the Wife and the kids will have this car more than i will drive. So maybe then i can buy the new 2005 SLK 350

Cheers,

You couldv'e saved $20K and got a "DaimlerChrysler-family" all-wheel drive, 340HP Hemi powered, Dodge Magnum RT w/ more cargo space, better gas mileage, longer drivetrain warranty and a more unique "look"

Agreed, though the 4.4l X5 is very nice. Congrat's Iceman!

Thank's infinite,

Actually i looked at the X3 also. I test drove the X3 3.0i 6spd with 220HP and it was pretty quick. Car was not that bad as some people think. I drove it here in Calgary which now we have 10" of snow out side on the roads and the X3 with x-drive system performed really good. The only reason i did not go with the X3 was the Looks.(Wife was not too crazy the way it looked) Other than that i would recommend it.

Iceman, the X5 is a fine vehicle with the only real competition being Porsche and Volkswagen. Good luck and keep looking at those SLKs

The Magnum is a good buy as well, but not in the same category.
