Just wondering, why some people, like steve per. ex., offer us parts so much cheaper than at the dealers?
How does he get the parts much cheaper?

(I'm almost buying a BIX set for my coupe, but I'm curious)

i think it has to do with supply and demand. the more you buy, the cheaper the cost. plus buying directly in europe. just a guess!

either way its hard to beat his prices and the things he can get that US dealers never seem to hear of.

the shop foreman yesterday was commenting on all the goodies on my car. i gave him steve's info since there are some things he wants to try and get for his W210.

I never heard about it!!! I buy parts at MB with 10% discount without Taxes (its buyed from my company) but is far away from the prices offered by steve and others.

I'm about to order from Gastonrey@bellsouth.net a set of BIX for my coupe, I'm a bit nervous about the deal, its some €€€, and I pay first and after 10 or more days I will see the result of the "game"!!!

What do you think guys, make deal??? (I was almost thinking buying the command from steve when this new deal come over, and the BIX are rare)

Why do you keep on trying to get reassurance from complete strangers

If your worried about a transaction..do some investigating...email the people that have said they were interested in this guy's bi-xenon's for sale and see if they have had any problems with the sale...also do a search the forum for sales of bixenon's...

What you will find is Steve has quite a few positives to his name. Is his price worth your peace of mind?

you can always count on steve for good prices and a guartantee on his items. he will not screw you over. i know that for sure. steve is worth the money and peace of mind, and he has good prices. how much cheaper are these BIX over steves?

Considering that you are in Portugal; sometimes you can find items/bargains at www.mbatc.de. They also carry a 1 year warranty.

I made a search at the site and the commands are not cheaper 1500€!!!

And there are some xenon headligths not cheaper to!!!

I hope it appear some cheaper items

buying bixenons from gaston is probably just asw safe a deal as buying them from your dealer...the only thing you need to take into consideration is that their lights might be US spec and US spec lights are not ECE approved...

I don't know how the MOT/DOT/TUV approvals are done in portugal, but in most european countries you won't pass with US spec lights...keeping your halogen lights to temporarily swap out during MOT/DOT/TUV inspection might be a solution.

As for offering parts at a certain price...quantity...buy 600 comands at once and see how that affects the price per unit...

the seat belt settings he set for me are cool. im attempting installing my IMS this weekend and ill be posting a thread on instructions. i need to save money for more mods!

How is yours settings?

Beeping or not beeping, and image on or of?

I tried to do it at the dealer with the info I got but they couldnt find the variable settings menu, I think!

all the beeping has been turned off. no more seatbelt warning, no more key in ignition warning, no more lights on. images had been turned on. i posted pics.

i too hate that noise and i love not having it. though the loaner ive been driving still has it and reminds me how much i miss my car even more, aside from all the things my car has and this one doesnt.

also sunman posted instructions on where to find the options in the menu using a star diag computer.

yes, I have the instructions, but some way they are diferent in my car or car to car.

disabling the beep I can do, but then, no warning ligth or image, thats what I want to know how to do it. (my dealer trieyed and no luck)

i dont know, steve did mine when he installed my UHI and Linguatronic.

Those image settings are to be found in the developer menu of the instrument cluster in stardiagnose...your dealer does not have access to that menu...it is not to be found in any of the conventional menus that can be accessed with stardiagnose...at least, that is if I remember it right...
