Please Help!!! Need earliest order date for 2006 C230SS.
My dealer won't tell me and wants me to order an 05. However if the 06 is coming out soon I would much rather order the 06 and wait a little bit. When is the earliest date to do this? How can I go about finding out the protocol to do this?

Ever think maybe your dealer does not know either ? 
Last I checked it's mid Feb. so we have at least a couple more months...and even if your found out that the date you could order was b4 the time your dealer was taking orders...what are you going to do, demand that they order you the car?
My advice is to lay off the caffeine pills for a while and wait....

They have not stopped taking orders for an 05 (I will pick mine up from the factory April 11) and therefore it will be some time after that when 06's will start coming out of the factory, plus shipping you are probably waiting till summer for delivery.

No the dealer does not know and they said Mercedes does a poor job of keeping them updated of these things. Where did you hear mid-february from? I swear more people are *******s on this board than any other I have visited. Whats more is that the rude people are usually the ones who know jack-***** about cars.

My '05 was ordered in May arriving in July, 6 weeks later. It was one of the first.
When ordered, the dealer did not have price or configuration information, so the vehicle was "tuned" to conform with the '04 to '05 changes, as the information became available.
We had to settle on a percentage discount, not knowing the prices.
