Felt Pen Touch Up Paint -- Found
I found this site from the TT Board advertising touch up paint with a felt pen tip for all of us artistically challenged touch up artists.
Try: www.autovisuals.com
They claim that their pens will match our paints and they have a list of manufacturers - I went through it and our paint is listed (magmarot ? for magma red) for MB colors.
About 16.99 per pen and for extra you can order to clear coat pen and a black pen for the exterior or interior cleanup
Anyone tried this. Looks decent but slightly $$$$

Then let's ask for Volunteers.
Mine is brand new.
If someone has chips, let them be the first to Volunteer!
What's another $40??? (Paint and Clearcoat)

2001 C240/2000 ML320
I ordered one a few weeks ago (received it the next day) and tested it on my brilliant silver c240 and it worked pretty well.
Was very easy to use and the color match was excellent. (The directions state to shake for 3 minutes) Just watch out if too much paint comes out at once, be ready to wipe it off and try again.

dang.... i should have waited until i read this thread before i went to the dealer for the $15 touch up paint....
but i put on the paint using toothpicks, guess this is equivalent to the felt pen.
if u light sand the area a little bit first the paint will stick better. i found out if apply more paint (larger area and thicker) on the area, let it cure for 2 days or so, then fine sand to level the area and buff. the result will be nearly perfect unless u look at it using microscope.

If anyone is going to try the DB567 Bordeaux Red Metallic paint code, let me know the results. The MB factory touch up paint is way off. If the pen works on this color I would like to order some
Thanks

MBWorld Fanatic!
I've used it on my Atlantic Blue '98 Mustang and it was a little darker than the car. The car is buffed and waxed on a regular schedule and it's garaged so I don't believe the car color has faded. It's still looks good, better than looking at a chip. I used up an entire pen because my chin spoiler was badly chipped and had some small spots that were flaking off (repaint from an accident) that I tried to touch up. I would get it again since it goes on a little thicker than dealer touch up paint and doesn't require as much build up to be level.

2000 CLK 430
I have just brought an Auto pen, a DB567 Bordeaux Red Metallic paint code, for my 2000 CLK 430.
I was not satisfied at all. The color does not match for Bordeaux Red Metallic. So save your money.
Lucky my road chips spots were small..
