I know NOTHING about cellphones in current C-classes and I don't want to search for "phone" and read a thousand threads, so can someone tell me either how to go about getting (as cheaply as legaly possible) and hooking up a phone in my '05 C230 sedan w/ standard radio or else tell me what specific terms I should be looking for?

I just had my MB phone installed on Friday. I had to get the V60 phone since that is the only phone good for Sprint PCS. The installation time is about 5 hours at the dealer. All together parts and phone is about $2000 with installation. It was expensive, but it is a lease and is still under warranty and I didn't want to run into any issues at the dealer if I had a problem with another setup.

Current me if im wrong (I know nothing about cell phones in our cars) but I was under the impression 05's came with cell phone cables pre-wired....shouldnt the cradle and phone be all we need? If the case, why so expensive for the installation?

If you had a brain, you could see that the majority of my posts were made 2 years ago when I had a C240, which is a teeny weeny bit different than my recently aquired '05 C230K sedan. Now, when was the last time you actually contributed something constructive to a post? Or have you been nominated the official "zinger" on this forum?

Back on topic, you guy's must have a lot of disposable income to spend this much on a phone, even if it integrated w/ the radio. My current "flip" phone is tiny and has a camera built into it and it was less than $100 w/ a 1 year contract. I can't justify the additional $1400 to make a comparable phone integrate w/ the car! But then again, I wouldn't spend the thousands of dollars some of you spend on wheels either

How much current would you like?

Your impression is close, the '05 vehicle come prewired, with the cradle connector, microphone, antenna and wires, but not the $765 MOST interface, which is required.

Yeah, for 2 grand Benz should have bluetooth technology. Its over priced and totally stupid.
