Whirring Noise
Hello all,
Our 02' C240 is making a very slight whirring noise when it's parked (engine off, ignition key not in it's receptacle). I believe the sound is coming from the HomeLink/rear view mirror area. Any thoughts?
Thank You,
Mark

There is a fan in the overhead console area. You can hold a 1/2" x 1/2" piece of tissue paper over the inlet grill and the fan will draw it and hold it against the grill. The fan pulls air over the interior temperature sensor. It runs all the time.

Thanks guys, glad to 'hear' this is normal.
MB-BOB/All, the ambient interior temperature of our C always seems to be toasty, no matter how cold it is outside. Any ideas?
Thanks Again,
Mark
