Windshield Wipers – Intermittent/Rain Sensor

I have a 2001 C240 with Windshield Wipers that have a Rain Senson. At times it seems thay are not working off the rain sensor but rather just opperating Intermittentley (which I prefer at times but seem to have no control over). I have tried to to get them to work Intermittentley but can not figure out how to do it. Is there a way to set the wipers to work intermittentley vs opperating off the rain sensors?

Thanks,
Rob

"Is there a way to set the wipers to work intermittentley vs opperating off the rain sensors?"

Pop out the black holder covering the back side of the rain sensor
on the windshield.

Disconnect the wire connector inside. The wipers will work as intermittentley
(approx 5 sec or so) at the first wiper control position.

When you want the wipers to work with rain sensor again, connect the
wire again.
