errors when removing ashtray light?

errors when removing ashtray light?
alright, so i just got my XM Commander installed where my ashtray is, but i can see the ashtray light on in the back and was gonna remove it, but then i thought of whether the computer would indicate it as a malfunction or not, has anyone taken out their ashtray light and left it out before? and if so, does the car's computer count it as a malfunction or not? thanks a lot for the help, i really appreciate it

thanks for the response, pulled the light out and there are ZERO malfunctions
