More then likely they probably won't be imported anyway. You never know with the 1 series from BMW. MB might look at the SC as a way to compete again. This hatchback stigma in the States really sucks sometimes...

I think the return of the sportcoupe will depend on the success of the A3 and if BMW brings the 1 series or 2 series over. MB was really taking a beating currency wise with the CL203, and MBUSA didn't want the car from day one. The so called premium small car market, that was supposed to be a fast growing market, hasn't really grown much. I think if the Sport Coupe returns, it will have to focus more on sport and performance, less on practicality and affordibility.

2006 MB C230, Black on Black
The hatchback is , well...uggh!
They should have introduced the person who designed the front of the hatchback to the person who designed the back. I hate to say it because I love Mercedes Benz's, but the hatchback, in my opinion, is ugly.
Just my opinion and we know all about opinions.

This is the latest pic from germancarfans.com and it looks cheap looking to me. The first 2 pics look better. If its going to look like that, I will pass and buy the new Z4 COUPE.

W203 slightly modified
Both of the first photos are very CLS. The W204 has a very high headlight - almost square like the honda accord or Vectra in UK.
The 3rd photo is on the money. The trunk still bothers me ... its very high on the real one.

yeah but the Z4 pics are real pics and the w204 pic from Lehmann Photo is a photoshopped pic. Even the shadow underneath the car doesn't look right
