Nice, that would be great if they offered BlueTec, especially if they could offer a BlueTec 4Matic

I've been driving a GL diesel and that thing is a rocket (for a diesel)! I'd love to have that in a C

"Whatever" is all I'll say about that. Just wait. Once the w204 starts making the W203 look dated they'll all start transitioning and hopping on the bandwagon.

I completely agree. I don't like it now, but I can certainly see myself getting used to it, and once that happens, the W203 will cast itself out of my memory.

There are direct injection engines coming soon, which will replace all the current V6 engines whether they are CDI or gasoline. There was a MBZ press release a while back.

A bit, but the only main similarity is the door crease, which a lot of cars are doing these days. I cannot wait for that POS Chrysler to be sold off and once and for all be rid of DaimlerChrysler. There was a motion at the most recent DCX shareholders meeting to change the name back to DaimlerBenz. It didn't pass for now because they said since Chrysler was not gone yet they should not get ahead of themselves. I hope by this time next year Chrysler is a distant memory and the name has been restored to DaimlerBenz.

I've seen both cars in person. And I can tell you that the two cars you have pictured looks nothing alike. Not even close. Having similar crease lines doesn't make the rest of the car look identical. There are tons of cars now that have a similar crease line. If you think that the W204 looks like a chrysler serbring, I suggest you go and have your eyes checked.

The interior however, defeinately has a resemblance. I will have to post pictures later. The dash comes together in that same inverted triangle point, and the "function" buttons are in the same place. The navigation system is different though, it is a conventional system in the Sebring, as opposed to that pop-up one in the new C-Class.

i understand... that alot of car makers use "simular creases" but seriously i know there are going to be differences but i was just saying over all... you take a kid 5 or 6 yr old and ask them which is a benz i'm telling you they wont be able to tell.... but its not that big of a deal i was just putting my 2cents in...

oh and a lot of car companies like FORD merg. their brands & models to have that so called Branding effect on Customers. i didn't think Chrysler was any different... oh sorry thats dodge(<<joke)

Sounds like the Sebring's NAV screen is better integrated than the C's Nav. I'm not a fan of pop-up screens. Because when the screen isn't in the up position all you are greeted with is plastic. I'd just rather have the NAV screen visible all the time instead of having to look at a plastic panel most of the time.

Well that pretty much settles it. The only 'character' in the whole design is the creaseline, and the nose is off an Acura, and the tail would be at home on a Kia....so, what's BENZ about this design? Not much. Oh yeah...the big ugly star on the 'sporty spice' sedans.

I thought that was pretty damn funny. The Sebring is just a mess, not that the W204 is a looker, but damn Chrysler, WTF were you smoking? The headlights are worst part, and changing them and the rounded nose would go a long way to restoring a little style to the design.

I think its pathetic that they are trying to say that the Sebring is styled after the Airflite, a rather cool looking concept car from a few years back.

I think that after the Crossfire bombed so severely, Chrysler backpeddled on the Crossfire-esque styling of the Airflite, choosing to keep just a few cues on the Sebring.

Ok, maybe there isn't as much similarity on the interior as I thought. But they both share that annoying upside down triangle point where the upper dash meets the lower dash.

as does the Honda Accord, although again, in slightly different form.
http://www.honda.com.sg/acc_in.htm

again, these things are all features of modern car design so i really don't think it means much. if you've ever SAT in any of these cars, the difference immediately becomes clear, though.

Yeah, someone posted a picture of the Honda on one of the 204 threads. I just pointed this one out since we were talking about the Sebring and the W204 since they are both DC cars.
