thanks for the update. I saw a Motor Trend review of the 2009 SLK350 with 300hp and I was shocked also.

I'm certain this is far from being confirmed. Personally, I don't think it's coming to the C-Class during this calendar year at all.

You offer nothing. Where is your proof for being "certain"? Maybe you did not read were I said Motor Trend just reviewed the 2009 SLK350 with 300HP. Sounds like someone will be envious for buying early. If the C350 gets 300HP the C300 will probably get a bump in power also.

No, I'm not envious at all, but it would be great for 2009 people.

What I am certain about is that it has *not* come out that the 2009 C350 will have the 300+ HP engine. I actually have uncertain confirmation it will not.

The 2009 SLK will have 300+HP yes.

I just don't want people to think they'll definitely get 300 HP in 2009 C350.

Another post on this thread already indicated no power changes in the 09 W204. Also not even a hint that there will be a C350 4Matic in the US. Just my opinion also, but I think we'd have had some more hints pointing to power upgrades by now so I seriously doubt it myself. Further, I corresponded with MBUSA about the W204 providing my feedback about the lack of power, lack of memory seats, lack of keyless go options. They responded recently to tell me that memory seats would be an option in the 09 but mentioned nothing about the other items we had discussed. Seems like further reason to doubt improvements in those areas - otherwise you think they would also have mentioned them as well.

I asked the dealer to look at their ordering guide online and they indicated to me that in the summary section the only real changes are to the Premium1 package. The new P1 package will remove folding mirros and add a compass in the mirror as well as power driver seat and steering column with memory. There was no indication that the new SLK motor will be used in the C.

What SLK motor? Perhaps I should buy SLK next year instead of C?

2009 SLK350 has had it's motor re-tuned. It will produce 300hp at higher revs.

It wasn't an option in their computer system, so I'm not sure, I guess not.
