C220 Bluetec for US

That's right, the C220 Bluetec shown in Geneva will be sold in all 50 states in late 2008. I will post more as I find out, such as whether it will be available as Sport and/or Luxury models, and what transmission(s) it will be available with. Fuel consumption is 5.5l / 100km = 43 mpg.

As the model is sold in Germany now it can be had with either a 6MT or 5AT, with 170hp, 295 lb-ft torque (@2000 rpm), and uses less fuel.

I agree! Damn, what is that colour?
Looks like aluminium. Way cool
Or is it just in the picture it looks like this?

I already order graphite grey, but I think I still can change since my built date is not final.

Wow I love that colour. I'll get my W204 C220 CDI Aut. in October and it will replace my W211 E220 CDI. I wonder when that bluetec version will be out?? Does anyone know?

Yeah that color is sweet. Maybe because of the lighting?

+1. Diesel produces decent torque. My car is getting serviced at the dealer and they gave me an '07 E320 Bluetec as a loaner. It's a turbodiesel with 388 lb-ft torque.. there's a little lag when you slam the pedal before the turbo works, but after that it pulls pretty nice.

Of course he's not happy, he's getting out of the car and leaving it...

Life's not going to be the same anymore. Colors are duller, food has no flavor...

Someone get that kid a BENZ!!!!

I wish they will send to C320 CDI here. 389 lb-ft peak torque from 1600 rpm will surely impress.

What is the torque and HP rating of the C220? Think it will get 40+ MPG?

where do you live? I think I paid 3.60 a gallon last time I filled on premium, and diesel was 2.99, i'd much rather have a diesel, actually there is no reason not to own one.

sorry there's a typo .. it should be 10¢ and that's for 91-octane(called Premium 91) .. 15¢ for 95-octane(Premium 95)

so there's a million reason not to own one

i live in saudi arabia

and the C320 CDI has 224 HP and (hold your breath) 510 NM or 389 lb-ft, same as S550.

The new M3 has 295 lb-ft.
