Black or White (Ext.) Black or Reef grey (Int.)
More good news for me. My car's revised build date is the week of August 21 so I should see it around 10/1 or so. My on-the-ball salesman was able to reconfigure to my specs a car they had ordered as a demo with the Multimedia package.
I have decided to change the wheels to the stock C350 Sport staggered 17" AMGs which means I can use the stock wheels for winter tires. I will be buying the same tires that I have on my C320 (and my 944) which are Bridgestone RE050A PP. Very quiet (comparatively) and much smoother riding than MB's OE tires. Excellent in the rain, also.
So, I will be selling my winter wheels which have about 1000 miles on them with Nokian WR tires fitted. The wheels are new car takeoff C-Class coupe wheels which will not fit the W204 because of the big offset change.

I will have to buy them later when I know what the part numbers are and they show up in the MB parts system. Needless to say, I won't be buying them locally since the dealers here charge retail plus plus.
All of the update parts I've purchased for the C320 have come from Caliber Motors in Anaheim at very substantial savings, even considering shipping costs.
You guys think this is a good deal? What are some of you guys paying for your 2008 C300 and C350 orders out the door???

Anyway the leading edge of the hood & headlamps have rock-chips already and seem more noticeable on this white truck than per se the few chips the '05 Dodge 2500 quad cab turbo diesel we traded in for the W204, that truck was charcoal gray metallic. We were shooting for any color other than gray, silver, the silver-pewter color etc.. as my parents have an '05 TL & 4Runner both in gray metallic and my last three vehicles have been a gray-esq hew. Getting our new C class in steel gray was entirely impromptu and the first car I've ever bought and signed papers prior to seeing the color in person. In fact our build sheet stated the car had the black MB-Tex and when we showed up to claim it the car had our first choice the light gray/ black two tone which looks sharp.I likely will not be buying any more gray cars our friends seem to think that's the only color we like, it just happens that way on accident for us. BTW I think black/tan with AMG 18" wheels is the business for the W204, the only down side and because of where my wife parks her car at work I couldn't go black. I had 2002 Passat 1.8t back in the day, when a black car gets bird poop on it, if it's not removed within some 15 minuets the acid will burn a mark in the paint. Ask me how I know.-Ryan
