How does the steering wheel feel compared to W203

For those who have test drive the car, how does the steering wheel feel compared to the pre-face lift W203 and post-face lift W203? Does it feel lighter or same?

It's much more precise and crisp compared to my current w203. But then again my c180 is a 2002.

it felt a tad lighter to me..but that be more to the fact that I have 19s on my '05 W203. The wheel itself seems bigger and less sporty

I really hated the steering on the W203 with its imprecision, dead feel and strong self centering, but I like the steering on the 204, it's WAY better.

Design wise I feel the W203 is much, much, much better. If the steering looks like the control to a space ship on picture, then in person it looks worse. In fact, I think I'll mod the C55 Steering Wheel to the W204; but that's the only thing better in the W203.

But in terms of feel, well, the W204 feels like it has a 'coat' around all it's panels - even the buttons on the radio or the dashboard. The steering is no different, it's silky smooth and when you grip it you realize it's hard to turn until you start turning. It's not a luxury sedan, like a Lexus or Toyota, but the response from the steering is a little stiffer.

The steering wheel itself is noticeably bigger than my 2007; I prefer the 2007 styling, as well. The feedback through the steeting wheel was about the same, though.

I honestly felt that my C350 steering was sharper but that could be as much a part of my engine performance as the actual steering. The C300 just seemed sluggish which could give me a false impression of the steering response. I would certainly recommend getting the 350 engine. Unfortunately for me, I want the luxury version and some "gods" don't think I should have that option. They ought to at least let those of us who paid the big premium to get a C350 to get another.
