Why no seat memory is a no-go for me

My wife and I have completely different settings for the seats and mirrors. Without seat memory, these are the things I have to do each time I get in the car after my wife has been driving:

1. Open the door, reach down and move the seat far enough to the rear so I can get in.
2. Sit down and adjust the cushion for front and rear height as well as how far from the pedals.
3. Adjust the set back and headrest.
4. Pull the awkward lever on the steering wheel and manhandle the wheel to the right position.
5. Adjust the right and left mirrors.
6. Adjust the inside mirror which is all we have to do now

Eash time I get into my 06 C350, I smile since it is such a nice car and
drives so well. With the W204, each time I would get in I would be upset having to go through so many things just because someone decided that we Americans don't need seat memory.

WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS?

A Canadian 350 converts to some 35K euro while a US converts to 27K euro. Not that Canadian price has significantly hiked but US$ has weakened so much in the past 2 years. So to make a return MB has to decide what equipment to bring and not to bring to the car as std equipment, and how much they should charge for the options.

So the question becomes why US$ has weakened so much? This is off topic but I can see the piling of national debt to support a war is a plausible reason.
