A fully loaded 350 sport is a 45775 and a fully loaded C300 is a 44775 , that is pretty nice, only a 1000 dollar difference.
This is nutz, Benz 350 $200 more than the BMW and it has the pano roof, 18" wheels, and a bigger engine interesting. I think the benz also has a adaptable steering. But then again BMW has the maintaince program so that will add up later on. But 350 and the BMW 328i difference is very little atleast at buy time.
A BMW 335i is almost 49500 with the same options ? 4K more.
Here is a BMW 328I with the comparable options.
Exterior Options:
Alpine White $0
Interior Options:
Gray w/Dakota Leather Upholstery with Burl Walnut Wood Trim Included
Packages/Options:
Sport Package $1,600
STEPTRONIC Automatic Transmission $1,275
Premium Package $3,250
Cold Weather Package $1,000
BMW Navigation System w/iDrive $2,100
Power Rear Sunshade/Rear Manual Side Window Shades $575
Premium Sound System $1,200
SIRIUS Satellite Radio $595
Xenon Adaptive Headlights $800
MSRP $32,400
Options and accessories $12,395
Destination charge $775
Total price as built* $45,570
Here is C350 with the option set .
Exterior Color
Arctic White $0
Interior Color
Grey/Black Leather1 $1,550
Wood Trims
Black Birdseye Maple $0
Options
Panorama Sunroof $1,000
18" AMG 5-Twin-Spoke Wheels $1,000
Tele Aid Security and Communications System $650
Packages
P2: Premium II $1,350
Multimedia Package $2,950
Gas Guzzler Tax $0
Total $45,775
So from the looks of it 350 is a excellent bargain.
PS: Does the benz include the destination charge, if not 350 is about 1000 more than the BMW 328.

MSRP includes $775 transportation and handling charge and excludes all taxes, title/documentary fees, registration, tags, Mercedes-Benz Dealer prep, labor and installation charges, insurance, optional equipment and accessories, certificate of compliance or non-compliance fees, and finance charges. Actual prices may vary by Dealer.

the pricing has to be off on the site. I loaded up a C300 for 44700 and then loaded up a C350 for 44800. The C350 is the obvious choice given those numbers and I highly doubt Mercedes would make the pricing so similar. I added P1, P2, Multimedia, 7Speed, Pano and ipod to the C300 and the same options in the C350.

That depends on which MSRP you are looking at...the site includes the 775 charge in the base price of the car, whereas the stickers on the actual lot do not.

WOW! the W204 rims have some really high offset. There will not be any W203 owners using W204 rims:

Love those AMG rims....it appears that you can also order them for the 300 Lux...although for an extra 3200. That may be one area they will work with you on when it comes to price.

Another thing I've noticed on the website is that you cannot get a 350 with the Savannah (tan) interior. I don't think that is a mistake though as I have heard many times that interior would not be available in the sport models.
I point this out because the dealer told me again last night that he can get me one with a tan interior if I really wanted one. Not sure if I believe him, but I sent him what specs I'd be looking for in a 350 today and he says he's going to work on finding me one.
None of the cars on the lot had tan interiors and I haven't seen anything online that says it is an option either. Yet the dealer says he can do it....

Yep, that's what everything out there says...
I did notice on the MBUSA website that they do have at least an explaination that "Special" Orders on interiors would have an 1100 charge in addition to the 1550 leather charge. So maybe it is possible through the dealership. We'll see because that is almost a must for me.

There is also a listing for the 18" AMG rims in the 300 Lux "Accessories" section for 3200, but as discussed above, we hope that is an error.

Special Orders?

Precisely where did you find that? I searched high and low and did not see it. My salesman told me today that MB will not do anything for anybody that is not advertised. Not even the Pope.
He gave me an example of a local gazillionaire, long time multiple MB buyer, who wanted something for his new S550 and was turned down flat. There was a time when you could, for a fat fee, specify a color from another model line but that's long gone.

From the looks of MB is trying to aim the C350 against a 328i, which is freaking insane atleast in the price war. In this case the C350 would most certainly win ?
