maybe this is a malfunction, maybe this is my bad...

i thought the car would clear all the parking blocks so i havent been as careful and I parked the car in a lot and the front amg bumper on my 350 sport scraped on the parking block...

when i pulled back it popped the bumper out of one of the clips and left some deep scratches in the plastic on the underside... it is only visible if you lay on the ground and loook under, and I was able to pop the bumper back in the one clip it popped out of, so everything is fine, but it just pisses me off that mercedes would make it so low in a stock configuration as to where it wont even get over the parking blocks of standard size... if this is the case they should at least warn you

dimple appeared out of nowhere in front passenger seat!

this dimple or actually pimple, since it protrudes outward slightly, is coming out of the seat back of my passenger side mb tex.. it is on the part where the passangers middle left upper back would touch the seat...

it is about 3/8" wide and raised approximatly 1/8-1/4" and is noticeably visible from distances up to 6-8 feet... when i push it it goes in and comes right back out... cant feel anything even pushing it up, have no idea how it got there, and think it just popped up out of nowhere one day....

maybe something mechanical from the inside caused this???

either way i hope the dealer can fix it at my first service.... for free they better

wierd haze streak on right side of inner spedometer...

inside the spedometer or instrument glass/plastic, there is a wierd looking streak that looks like condensation got inbetween the glass and the instruments.... only notice it in certain lights... pretty cheap that MB would not make this air tight...

think the dealer should fix this for free???

I noticed that the 2007 C 250 rental car front bumper scraped as I pulled out of my driveway where my 2008 C300 doesn't . Apparantly, MB did raise the cutout in the bumper some from the previous year.

I try to be especially careful not to wack the front bumper on those parking blocks but know that someday it'll eventually happen. But so did my 2001 Buick LeSabra and it didn't sit especially low either. I'd bet they're about the same when it comes to ground clearance.

Forgive me forgetting the "quotes" around the "sport" part. It's still a sedan nonetheless which is probably lower than what the curbs or cement stops were made for. Even if the parking blocks were "standard" size, I would bet that they are pretty old and were made when cars were still pretty high off the ground........

I know it has the "Sport" package, but I hope people aren't buying these thinking they are sports cars. I love my new C350, but it is simply a small to mid-sized 4 door sedan with an exterior that looks sporty and some performance features that would be expected of any quality car in this price point. If I wanted a sports car I would not have purchased an MB C class (or any of its direct competitors).

So.... a "sporty" car then?

As for the SUV vs. sedan discussion. You try to negotiate a car with a hard object like a concrete block, you're going to lose, no matter what car you drive.

It's not Mercedes fault. Nearly every car except for an SUV will scrape on those parking things. They really **** me off. They should have to change them to new lower ones or the owner of the lot should be liable for damage.

Amen.

When my sister had a 2002 Jetta, she yanked the airdam off a few times on these things. These parking blocks were designed before aero became a consideration.

21 2008s signed up to participate in TrueDelta's research. So we might be able to provide a repair rate in February. Threads like this one can make repairs seem more common than they actually are.

Angry squeaky door handles!!!

squeaky door handles when opened from the outside are what i have now... i think after i washed the car, some water was left to dry on the hinge or something of 3 of the four handles cus they all squeak now when pulled...

couldn't mercedes think of making a handle that wouldnt allow water to make it squeak, by designing the hinge differently?

do they expect cars to never get wet or what is their deal?

anybody else have this problem with their new w204>???

Unhappy the Right interior passanger door handles vibrates when the bass hits in c350 with MM

the Right interior passanger door handles vibrates when the bass hits in c350 with MM... i can distinctly hear it rattle/vibrate when there are sections of the song with just a baseline and now vocals...

pretty weak if you ask me, it really is startin to bug...

if i put my finger on it, the rattle noise stops...

warranty issue??

anybody else notice any vibrations or other rattle noises coming from the door areas or other areas inside the vehicle where the speakers are located??? or is it just me?

No offense man, but you seem like the type that beats the hell out of a car, and then wonders why you are having problems...hitting parking blocks, problems with water/squeaking in the door handles,(put a little lube/wd 40 in there and it will stop), water "drips" under the car,(Even if the AC comes on for 5 minutes, OF COURSE there will be moisture under the car!).. a 3/8th inch "dimple" in your seat??? These cars are NOT made entirely by hand you know....
Had mine for a month now, and it runs like a dream, has no rattles or weird noises, and I can blast Pink Floyd so loud on the Stereo that my teeth rattle, but nothing in this car does!!

Make a list, and take your car back to the dealer at any time, and all that will be replaced/repaired for free, man..

What happened to "babying" a new Mercedes for the first thousand or 2 thousand miles?? I can say from experience of owning 30+ new cars in my life, that if you baby them in the first 90 days, you have a MUCH better chance of having a winner, instead of a Lemon..
Just my 2 cents...
