INTERIOR TRIM on 300????

I'm not a good person to ask about tinting as I haven't done it to my car, I'm not a fan of how it looks.

For what it's worth, I started looking in July and I had dealers tell me they could get me a 300 Sport with the black birdseye maple and beige interior. When I pushed them on it they checked and confessed they were wrong.
Even the dealers are learning about these cars as they debut. They don't know everything yet. I would venture a guess that many of the regular posters on this forum know more about the car than your sales guy.

C300 wood kit
<<In the US, the C300 brings aluminum and the C350 brings the Black Maple. I ordered the C300 and changed to the C350 for the power and the Maple!>.
My dealer told me yesterday that there is a wood kit for cars with the tin trim. Apparently in response (imagine!) to complaints.

That's fine, I will I just hate calling the parts department if I don't have to. They probably will say that it doesn't exisit, or if you want to do it you have to order every piece separately. Is this "wood kit" an MBUSA thing? or something your dealership put together because so many people don't like the aluminum.

Wood kit?

The parts people know only what's on the microfiche.
Since there is a Sport grille conversion kit from MB already, I would think that the wood kit would also be factory. Sure, the pieces could be ordered one by one but the cost would be astronomical.
Years back I purchased a Zebra wood kit for my 190E (doors, glovebox door, dash) sold by an outfit in California and it cost about $300. Made in Germany and looked great with the Palomino interior.

Considering Swaping trim
I am also a BIG fan of the Birds Eye Maple trim and really dislike the aluminum trim. But in considering buying the new W204 is it really worth paying so much more to upgrade to 350? I am thinkig of ordering the trim through parts**and having them swapped out. Now if I could get my dealer to do it. MB of Laguna Niguel is notorious for not swapping stock to the car I mean**down to matching the Vin to what is on the car from the factory. Anyone know if MBZnl is going to be offering this? Or when there next SoCal tour is?
