Can someone post pics of obsidian black and a black C Class?
I would like to do a comparison of the obsidian black C class and a regular black C class. I know the C class brochure has obsidian black in it but I'm sure those pictures have been digitally altered and airbrushed a lot. So any real shots of the cars would be great.
Or any MB cars with those colors would be fine too. Just want to see if I can see a difference from far away on the cars. I know up close the obsidian has little metallic flakes which some may or may not like.

As an owner of an Obsidian black C320, I'll tell you right now that in a photo this color and 040 Black will look just the same. The color difference is just too subtle. Why don't you go to the local dealers and look at them in the metal. Keep in mind that my dealer has gotten a lot of cars in and all the black ones are 040 black. No Obsidian.
And no leather interiors either. Looks like my car will be the first one in about a month or less.

I don't know what's worse here, the spelling or the bad information. The fact is that present day base coat/clear coat paints are easier to match than ever before. Not that I would trust my car to Bruno or Vinnie at the local bargain body shop, but an experienced painter can match these colors easily. My own Obsidian black car's hood and FR fender were refinished three years ago and the color match is still right on.
And it's $710.

Here's my opinion, the Black looks 'blacker' than obsidian. The obsidian looks more brown or 'dusted' I wanted strictly black so that is what I got...black. The obsidian is supposed to sparkle more but I prefer the black.
