We have updated our reliability stats for the C-Class to include owner experiences through September 30, 2012.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:
2012: no repairs reported, 21 cars
2010: 62, about average
2009: 68, about average
2008: 37, better than average
We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.
With the 2008 the percentage with no repairs is about 73, while the percentage with 3+ repair trips is less than 1.
We'll have further updates in February and May. We'd love to provide more precise stats and fully cover all model years--just a matter of getting more owners involved!

if you have any interest, my first W204 (2007-2010) did 400 000km and never had any problems.
my current W204 is at 84 000km and also no problem yet
same for the C207 E coupe, 150 000km now and still no problem
i go the dealer when my car tells me its time for maintenance

Seems like a potentially great website for information about our model of cars, but it depends on crowd sourcing! Everyone please sign up and add repair histories or reports.
I signed up yesterday and added the few work orders I've had in my 3 months of ownership.

W204 reliability comment
Happy Holidays to all.....While I am pleased to see that the reliability of our w204 has been holding up well according to this site, I am dismayed to see that Consumer Report has really bashed our C Class cars in its latest annual summary book that came out about a month ago. As I stated in my earlier post regarding this, I believe they could have made an error in this years book. Up until last year the C Class cars were rated quite good in reliability and now they appear to have dropped to well below average in one year! ......I disagree with this , as my own "09 w204 has been excellent in reliability, which agrees with this sites post....My other concern is that the Consumer Report survey will damage our cars saleability, and this is something we should all be concerned about....

To be fair, different reliability surveys ask different questions, and this can lead to different results.
CR also groups its ratings more tightly than we do. One extra problem reported for every ten cars can make a big difference in their ratings. Personally, I think this can distort perceptions of how much cars differ in reliability (many people assume there's a substantial difference between cars with different ratings) so it's much harder for a car to get a "bad" score on our site. Lemons aren't common.
Larger sample sizes are always better. So if you're reading this but haven't been participating, I hope you'll consider it.

New stuff this time. We've updated our reliability stats for the C-Class to include owner experiences through the end of 2014. Plus we've added reliability trends graphs. These indicate how a model's reliability has changed as it has aged, and how different model years performed when the same age.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:
2013 C-Class: 25, low
2012 C-Class: 12, low
2011 C-Class: 43, moderate, small sample size
2010 C-Class: 66, moderate
2009 C-Class: 54, moderate
2008 C-Class: 48, low
We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:
2008 C-Class: 54, < 1
We'll have further updates in May and in August. The more owners participate, the more comprehensive and precise these will be.

So, how have these cars been doing lately?
Our reliability stats for the C-Class now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)
In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):
2013 C-Class: 19, low
2012 C-Class: 24, low
2011 C-Class: 21, low, small sample size
2010 C-Class: 47, moderate
2009 C-Class: 60, moderate
2008 C-Class: 53, moderate
Plus, the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:
2013 C-Class: 87, < 1
2012 C-Class: 79, < 1
2008 C-Class: 55, < 1
No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in August and November.

Hi, I see no results for the 2014 W204s. I know these cars exist because I bought one. Is the sample size negligible? If you need data for them, I'd be glad to sign up for a free membership in exchange for providing data. Thanks!

We've updated our reliability stats for the C-Class to include owner experiences through September 30, 2016.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year (lower is better):
2013 C-Class: 26, low
2012 C-Class: 20, low
2011 C-Class: 18, low, very small sample size
2010 C-Class: 41, moderate, small sample size
2009 C-Class: 99, high
2008 C-Class: 33, low
Additional participants always helpful, especially for years without stats or with small sample sizes.
