Mercedes sent me a gift in the mail today?
The gift takes a month or longer, you'll get it. I did get the nice wallet but not the gift certificate. This was back in March. MB must have started the gift program up again. Free maintenance would be a nice gift, too.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I think they do something on your 10th, 20th, 30th or 40th car, maybe.
In general I think it is a very nice touch and they know the delivery survey is in the mail and your reply is extremely critical.

my sister bought a mazda and received a $200AU bottle of wine.
but all i got was a bodgiee subscription to merc magazine for the next three years, free invitations to the 'active safety experience (driving days)', amg track days, and a crappy cd wallet... woops.. forgot to mention 5 car detailing vouchers from the dealer.
pfft... i'd take the wine anyday
That is amazing. I can tell you that booking the AMG Driving School alone is extremely expensive. You are talking well over $ 1,000.00 Dollars. It is the experience of a life time. Enjoy.

Thats funny!! I received that exact same package 2 years ago. It's the standard gift depending on which dealership.
$1000..... nice. so i guess they did take care of me.
the dealership was berwick (in australia ),
and the track day was at sandown race course.
It was amazing! I was in a beginners 'team'.
The apparent regulars for the track sessions were let loose on time trials.
I know amg's are quick, but the brabus amg's are QUICK.
The first image is when I can use the Garmin 350 without the power cord to within the battery capacity of the GPS which I think is between 1 and 2 hours. Only problem with this install is that in broad daylight the reflection on the screen makes it harder to read. You do have to have the GPS's antenna in the up position and thread it under the opened cover either to the left or right of center. It won't fit under the center of the popup lid as there is something there that keeps it from sliding under it. In this position, you can not close the display cover and have to remove the GPS to turn it off. You can however program it in this position.
The second image is where I'm using the bracket furnished by Garmin and have hotglued it to a scrap piece of floor marble from a home project. I'll be cutting a little bit wider piece as the one in the 3rd image isn't quite heavy enough. It stays in place about 99% of the time, but I'd like that extra margin having a bit more weight would offer. This method also allows you to slide the base left to right to be able to better see the mb display when you've just gotta find out whose the artist performing a particular song.
The third image is a closeup of how I put together the bracket. Don't forget to use hotglue as the suction cup doesn't hold for very long on marble.

just got the above same gifts in the mail today
Still trying to figure out the COMMAND GPS and the PCMCIA slot though...very interesting and cool but not much information out there yet on how it works....if anyone has anything to share, it would be much appreciated.

As far as the command GPS, I too am still trying to figure that out. My complaint is that if I look up Applebees, it is listing me Applebees restaurants in Alabama. I don't understand that.
Lucky you the garmin is probably better than the stock Navigation system.
We got a bottle of wine in a nice wooden presentation box with crystal glasses and wine knife.
Not quite a gift but the dealer did include a second set of wheels with winter tyres for no extra charge..

Your Applebees story is well taken (other than that restaurant doesnt have good food...ha ha). I had this problem in my old ML320 at times as well...it often wanted to send me to places 300 miles away rahter than finding something local. What I did notice in the new C300 is that once you start entering a POI, it will ask you 1) From current location or, 2) From another location (something like that - going by memory). That should help you find that Applebees nearest you
It appears to have been sent out so that I'd receive it at about the two month mark. (two months from the time I got the car)
