Mercedes sent me a gift in the mail today?
It's really quite useless, what with the nearest Saks store being 175 miles away.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The generosity of MBUSA is very touching. Buy a car and we send you a little something. Very little something.
Last week Fedex delivered to Porsche owners across the US a box containing an 80% replica of the Porschestrasse street sign outside the Leipzig plant. I am impressed.
That's where the Cayenne is built and the Carrera GT was produced. The upcoming 4-door will come from there also.
I haven't spent any money with Porsche in a looong time.
Though the wallet seems really cheap and not something I would use (likewise any typical Mercedes owner) and the $25 gift card is rather petty (I used it on a $300 online purchase on a couple shirts), it's better than nothing and the offer was appreciated.
I don't really care for freebies with the dealership's name on it as it's free marketing for the dealership. Though I was expecting more swag I paid full sticker and these Mercedes accessories under $100 such as fleece wear, valve stem caps, travel bags, etc. and these things cost very little in terms of their cost. I got much more (and more exspensive) freebies and useful gifts when I bought my Acura.
The wallet/gift card most likely is not a dealer sponsored gift, as the accompying letter is signed by the president/CEO and the literature describes the owner's card, owners online feature, roadside assistant, customer service, and other Mercedes ownership feature/perks.
It's one year membership, not two, and cars delivered before 1/2/08 are not getting one.
So says MBUSA.

Pissed off is the word. $1500 is nothing to sniff at.
BTW, is Baron a name or a title?
Do they do this every year, or is this the first time ever?
It began it 2007 and the '08s were excluded, then. So those club members who took delivery of '08 C-Classes in '07 are out of luck.

I needed an alias when I started playing Call of Duty (a WWII first person shooter video “game”) online and Baron Samedi seemed appropriate. I’ve used it ever since.
All worthwhile life goals and very suitable for this forum.
