2009 Model year with memory seats ?

Does anyone know if we'll get Memory Seats in the 2009 models ? i've been searching alot and the only thing that I found was the Adv Agility Pkg, anyone ? I'd love to have the unique power seat controls, that being said, im willing to wait till the 09 model year IF they come equipped with it, not to mention the AAP or maybe Direct Fuel Injection ?? if anyone has any information feel free to post it up, thx everybody!

Mem seats in 2009?

Obviously, it's not in MB interest to divulge this at this time - so I don't expect we will know the answer for quite some time. Since I have two nice cars, I can wait for memory seats. I'm not buying a "luxury" car without them.

No one knows what is coming in MY09, probably not even MB. Most believe memory seats and keyless go will come to the US soon though with the new engine a couple years away for the facelifted W204.

The US should be getting a C class bluetec, advanced agility package, and memory package as available options for 2009.

I know several people who are waiting for the diesel C (with the aforementioned features).

Memory will be here for 2009, but I wouldn't expect both seats memory. Probably just one memory seat control on the door for driver like the optional power memory seat for the 2006/2007 C230 and C280. But I think that is sufficient. I also think Keyless Go will be an option of some kind. Maybe bundled into a premium package. Who knows how they will do it.

I guess they must have gotten a lot of hate mail about these two things.

Memory seats would be nice but I don't care really. I have them and have used them only once. I'm not crazy about keyless go. I always fear I will be driving and accidentally push the button.

I use seat memory a lot, although I am a single driver. I have to presets for relaxing and more aggressive drive. Also when you have car after service, you need to adjust seats again, so memory seats are helpful. However the diesel C is more important for me. So I will see what we get for 09. We will know for certain next summer.

Memory seats also come in handy in the winter ..coats etc always mean having to adjust the seat ... I often adjust on the weekends (when I don't wear my work coat)

i know this is a rookie question, but i was just wondering that since the w204 does not have direct fuel injection, does that mean the engine relies on a carburator instead?

There will be changes to the car, Mercedes is pretty good about listening to what their customers want. But for the life of me, why did they offer different options in different countries (i.e. Canada) I could see the Euro market getting different options, they always have, different things sell there better than here, but Canada is so close, why bother making a different model to ship when its going to basically the same place.

My thoughts on options I think will change.

Drivers side seat memory.
300 models door panels will look like the leather package, with MB Tex inserts instead of leather.
Black birds eye maple for 300 sport.
Added wood to center stack around radio controls and possiably to passenger side dash as well.
Simulated wood roll over cover for center arm rest cubbie (had one in my old 01 ML but not in an 08 C?)
As usual the options packages will change just as they do every year, so there probably will be a stand alone option for Xenon lights, and some options such as the home link, heated seats, day night mirrors will become standard.
And for my favorite option..a diesel added to the north american lineup.

Sounds pretty good! You should go work for MBUSA.

I think there are safety features that prevent the car from shutting down while in motion. The button is probably disabled when the car is in gear.

Would be nice to know exactly what happens though....anybody not in the US with keyless go want to test it out for us?? Kidding of course...don't want to be promoting a 10 car pile up or anything...

heh. Direct fuel injection is different than Electronic fuel injection, which the M272 engine has. They do not use a carb

Keyless go is actually safer than a regular key system. The button is disabled when the car is in gear, wheras one could accidentally shut off the car with the key while in motion.

Along with P2, since the bi-xeonons will help everyone see better...I am obviously not serious, just wish people would be more willing to pay for options.

I'd gladly pay for the options that I want....just need to get MBUSA to give me the option to do so. Even if they charged a premium for the US market I'd bet they'd still get some takers for Keyless go and Memory Seats...

Oh that was not at all directed at you, it was just a reference to the parktronic discussion. Immensely popular in Germany, almost never found in the US (people never wanted to pay for it), and now people want it standard.

Also need the MM with GPS to avoid getting lost in the bad part of town....MB doesn't want its owners getting car-jacked do they??

No worries I didn't take offense at all. Just reiterating the constant requests on here for keyless go and memory seats in the hopes that whomever at MBUSA is monitoring the forum and puts another "check mark" next to those columns for future reference.

The parktronic thing can always be an option....probably should be included in P2 for the US though.

Indeed, especially if it is Saab. I woudn't drive my kids in Saab, so easy to play with the ignition.

I really want a W204 but there is no way I will buy one witout being able to get memory. That has to include the mirrors and steering wheel as well as the seats. As with many convenience features we have had for years, this is not time to cut them off.
Would you want a car without central locking, power seats, power windows, air conditionong, power steering, disc brakes, etc? These as well as many other features are things that we didn't have at one time but just like seat memory, once you get used to them, you wouldn't want to be told you can no longer have those features, especially in what is supposed to be a luxury car.
