anybody know if the nav reads the street names as well or does it just tell you to turn right nor left with no street name or freeway name read to you??
also, how does the voice sound that guides you? male, female, annoying?
also, does the nav had voice command option or do you just use the knob for everything???

female voice....probably annoying (hence the mute feature)
i don't have mine yet obviously, but it is my understanding that it does have voice command option. also, supposedly it is supposed to be better at recognizing street names than previous versions where I guess you had to actually spell out certain street names...

Voice or....
Voice command is the default. There is a mute button but the radio volume knob adjusts the voice volume also if you adjust it when the thing is talking to you. You can lower the screen and use the direction arrows in the speedo, if activated.
I am surprised how well it works and have seen no option to change to a male voice in the menus.
