My wife's first driving impressions of C350
I thought it might be interesting (and at times amusing) to quote (with her approval) some of the things she had to say when she got home... later in the day
- 82 Diesel Rabbit, 4-speed mnaul. This was her first car and someone (waaay) out there is still driving it hard

- 99 2.0 Beetle automaitc. She loved the way it handled and the way it looked, but felt it was slow.
- Honda Pilot SUV; she loves to be in it, practicall, roomy, but not gigantic.
- "I just didn't get tired driving it and it felt so good!"
- "you just press [the accelerator] and go wheeeen...!!!
"- "you need a few miles to get used to the fact that it moves the wheel so quickly, and then it's so natural"
- "you don't hear so much noise from the outside"
- "it feels planted to the road and just goes where you point it"
- "it brakes really well... you can just brake and it'll do exactly so"
- "the air is nice how to adjust the temp... you just switch that thing"
- "i love the hand rest"
- "the trunk opens by itself!!"
- "everyone gets out of my way... everybody would move out of my way on the fast lane... i didn't have to change lanes; that I liked a lot

- "they see that huge mercedes thing [hood emblem] and they just move out of the way!"
- "it was so much fun"
- "can i have it more?
:
"The 2.5 year old her her own comments as well, while strapped (or nearlyso, as it turns out) in the car seat: "mooomy look at me!
". It turns out the seat was sliding all over the back seat at a looping freeway entrace. Problem solved at the nearest stop. NOTE: the interior is MBTex and its texture doesn't quite provide the best of grips for the car seat.

Part of my master plan is to get my wife to like the car so much that she would refuse to give up. Then I'd have to get a 6-speed manual C300 direct injection (in the future, if there'll be one) just:for:me
