A lil early to try and figure out gas mileage. You want to wait till the engine has been properly broken in. Lots of variables in this as well such as different brands of gasoline, different octanes, where you were driving in town or city. My ML has been getting better gas mileage the older it gets.

Don't worry about it. I was getting pretty bad gas milage when my car was new also. My car is two and 1/2 years old now and I get fantastic gas milelage. Last week I drove 200 miles with 1/2 tank of gas (highway only). Give it like 3 months and your gas milage will improve after the break-in period of the engine and the whole car settles in.

It takes time. You need to properly break in the engine and youll see some improvement. BTW if you do a lot of city driving, do not expect high numbers. On the other hand if you do mostly highway it should get better

My wife filled her C200k up for the first time this week and the car returned 31 mpg or 9.1lts per 100 klm, I'm very impressed. I know its a small engine that only produces 135 kw but for a car the weighs in at 1500 kg that not bad.

I too was concerned when I got my C300 on Sept 8th.

It has in the last day or two rolled over to 1,000 miles. With my mixture of city/ highway driving, I'm getting 24.5 mpg. On straight highway driving, its getting somewhere in the 29mpgs.
