In store parking lots and what not. Or will you actually go out of your way to find one of the furthur spaces away that not many people have parked near.
I can't help but think that if I park near others, little kids will just open the door carelessly and ding my car doors.

I park my car as far away from the enterance as possible... it's been a habit since my first car. My wife understands... and now that we have a kid, I'd drop them off first and then go park.

i do park also away from the entrance for same reason of other people are being careless. Normally i use my other car when i go shopping. I guess its just cose my C is new so I am being extra careful with it. lol

Is this a trick question? Is the crew from Punked going to break down my door with cameras? Ha ha ha, anyone who cares about their car isn't going to park right next to someone if they don't have to. That being said, I like to park on the outskirts, not out in the middle of no where because that draws attention to your car which you might not want in any high crime areas such as malls or parking garages, but far enough way that other cars won't be pulling in next to me. Then I cross my fingers for luck lmao.

Little kids? The BIG problem is all those cellphone women in their SUVs. Whacko! Oooo, it's only a car, they bleat.
And it's true, nice shiny cars seem to attract blivets such as Volvo 240 wagons, '75 Bonnevilles and various Subarus.

I'll be driving to work every day and parking in a multi-story parking lot ... I need to find somewhere to park; maybe like 2 floors higher than normal or something, but my regular spot is a no-no as it's heavy traffic, and you really never know who's passing by with bags and crap ...

I park my car from other cars as far as possible . Unfortunately it is not always possible, some stores as Costco are overcrowded. I consider that parking far allows me to walk, since I do not do gym, it has benefits for my health. Benz uses a good steel so it isn't easy to ding it, but it can happen eventually. So park your car alone. There is one exception, when you park your car in areas where many criminals live, you car can be vandalized if stays away from other cars.

I never park near another car. I find a protected space to park - enen though this means I have to walk a good way. I have not had a ding in any of my cars for 15 years as a result. It is possible but it requires a fair amount of effort.

Although I don't have a w204, I am really careful with my car. I park the farthest away and I get pissed off even for a tiny rock chip. Even tho I park far away, someone keyed it for no reason. I guess these things can't be avoided. Insurance is going to take care of i tho, just haven't had the time to take it in to a shop.

OMGosh!! That sucks ! I wonder if people secretly know we park our cars far away to avoid getting knicked... and purposely park next to it or in the case above.. purposely key the car.
