Interior Lighting

Just a quick question. Has anybody seen if there is abient lighting in the C. I noticed that the front cabin lights have the same white border that the E class does. When I test drove the car, it was light out, so I didn't get to see anything at night.

Sorry to disappoint, but there aren't "ambient" lights on the dash...

Only "ambient" lights are an amber bulb under the rear-view mirror and a row of LEDs under the door latches...

It's also not user-programmable.

Hmmm... so the row of LEDs under the door latches, is that standard on all models, or is it just when you get a certain package?

I believe it's standard on all of the W204's... at least in Canada.

Footwells also go from bright to dim but, do stay lit.

It's standard on all models, but useless. You don't really see any lights until you stick your fingers under the lights. I prefer the amber lights on BMW E92 instead.

I can confirm the ambient lighting in the footwells. Sort of of reddish light that you really have to be looking for to notice.

The footwell lights are really hard to notice... until you open the door and the intensity increases. You will not notice it under normal driving circumstances.

So the buttons on the center console don't light up? Like the AC knob and what not? This is the picture that was posted earlier in the thread
Why would they leave out the lit buttons in the dash board? Are we supposed to just push a bunch of buttons in the dark ? Just turn the light on while driving to see which is the seat warmer button? I don't understand why they aren't lit up.

You'll need the conversion kit, available from MBUSA for $199.95.

No.... all the controls on the center stack are lit up. You need to take a closer look on the photo. I don't think there is a single button in the car that is not lit... afaik.
