6000K or 8000K HIDs
I'm planning to change my stock HID bulbs and I'm in a dilemma whether I should get the 6000K or the 8000K. I noticed that some 8000K HIDs are too blue which reduces visibility. I used to have 8000K on my W203 for the low beam and fogs but they were white with slight tint of blue. What do you guys think I should get and what brand should I go for?

do the 6, that 8000 is just too much, maybe for fogs sure.
i'm planning on doing the same, is it just a bulb swap or a whole system setup?

I have Bi-xenons on mine. Therefore, I only need to swap the bulbs for the headlamps. However, I need to buy an HID kit for the fogs. Does anyone have any recommendations on what brand to use?

yea stocks are 4300k.....8000k is VERY blue. in brooklyn, there are many people who have 8000k or 10000k headlights, it really just hurt my eyes to look at them, and it is very annoying. 6000k gives you a shade of blue that wont burn other people's eyes. if you want to do the fogs, you'll need to buy the complete ballast/bulb set. very reliable brands are mtec and muccolluh. i think alot of people have used them on this forum.

Like everyone's opinion, 6000K is absolutely the one to go for. 8000K is less lumens therefore less brightness on the road.

Nice pics, i love the blue. Yea I did 6000K simply because I heard its better for visibility in the rain compared to the 8000K, but if I lived in an area where there was less rain I would definately go for the 8000K's.
Mine does have a nice blue tint to it, not that much blue though. (Looks beautiful)

Daniel

Thanks yeah they look really nice... I have been thinking of changing the fog lights to HID but the thing is that i dont want to mess anything up. I currently change my bulbs only to some Xenon ones but they are 4300k im not sure if changing them to the 8000k ones will make a huge difference. They look white right now but i want it to have that blue also.

heres my opinion.
Stock ones are 4300 k
but
they always look like 6000k and even sometimes 8000k
everytime i see a w204 behind me, the xenons are so damn blue.
and my mom has a range rover sport and her lights look purple even sometimes.
so it pretty much depends on how the headlight and projector were designed.
i personnaly like the stock ones.
but in any case, go for 6000k
and are your eyebrow bulbs as blue as they look in the pics?

Hey are those 6000k? Cause I got 6000K in mine but their not that blue, but I get really good white with a tiny tint of blue.
