My order is coming from SA. I knew this from the day I ordered. We looked for German builds and could not find an open German allotment with MM clear thru March of 2008.
I placed my order thru Pleasanton Mercedes...so right up your alley. If you order, and they reserve your allotment, they should be able to tell you right away if it's a german or sa build.

I'm gonna wait and see if it gets built 1/15. If there are any further delays, Mercedes Benz just lost another BMW-convert customer.

I was a big Kimi fan with his tenure at McLaren Mercedes. My avatar was his last McLaren helmet, btw, not his Ferrari one

I ordered mines around 10/28/07 and it arrived on 12/26. I had some issues with my finance loan so I'm picking it up next week. Mines a 4 matic and I believe it was built in Germany since it said Germany somewhere on the paper work.

I ordered 11/27 with a 1/30/08 Bremen build date, since moved up to 1/24. Supposedly takes about 45 days for transit, so I hope to see it in mid March.
We are still tossing around European delivery, but we can't work that out until late April. If that happens we wouldn't have it for a regular drive until June.

Just got the long awaited call from my sales person - the car has arrived in the showroom and is ready for us to pick up...they need a day to detail it and fill it up - so we might mostly go and pick it up tomorrow!!!

call the dealer back right now and tell them not to drill the license plate frame in your bumper!!! (unless you want it)

I checked with the dealer a week & 1/2 ago and got my netstar report which showed the car completed production on Dec. 18th or so and is STILL waiting to get assigned to a boat for transit. Unless something has changed in the past week it's still sitting there. Dealer said they would email me as soon as it ships out. Might be time for a follow up call. I was wondering the same thing, if it was related to switching production to SA maybe Germany is out of stock on a few parts so the cars are just sitting there?!

Does every order come with a Netstar report? Because I didn't get one. How do I find out more detailed "tracking" info.? This is my first order w/ MB, my last car was a 325i and they usually give updates.

Also, I have an update on my car that I ordered back in early Nov. It's still in final production according to my sales guy today. So he found me an identical car, from Germany, and the only difference was it's Steel Grey vs. Obsidian and it has the iPod kit for an additional $375. I decided to go with it. He was thinking my original car could be 6-8 more weeks! The Steel Grey was my 2nd choice in color and I hadn't originally order the iPod kit but what the heck. Sounds like it could be here in 7-10 days!!!!

Just curious what the status was for those of you who ordered in November...
I ordered mine on 11/2/07 with a build date of 12/11/07 which was pushed to 1/15/08. I probably won't see my car until late Feb as it stands.
I ordered a C300 Sport with P2, MM, Pano, AMG wheels, Teleaid, iPod, Automatic, and leather.
The wait is killing me and to be pushed another 5 weeks ... ugh! I figure the MM and the AMG wheels are holding up my build date.
Anyone else get pushed?

I confirmed with my sales agent...my car went into production and already has a VIN!
She'll get back to me in 2 weeks - and I am assuming that's when it will finally be on a boat.
I feel a little better...

Please update us when it actually arrives at the dealership. My car is supposed to be built in SA on 1/22 and I'll be VERY interested to see how long it takes for yours to arrive in the US. But you're on the west coast aren't you?

Great news yesterday.
1) It was my b-day. Big 2-3.
2) Fletcher Jones told me that the C350 would arrive in the Long Beach Port on 1/17, take a few days to clear paperwork, and then arrive at Fletcher Jones on or around 1/21.
So I should hopefully be sitting in a new C350 in less than a week.
Current Mood: Giddy like a school girl. Not going to lie.
1) It was my b-day. Big 2-3.
2) Fletcher Jones told me that the C350 would arrive in the Long Beach Port on 1/17, take a few days to clear paperwork, and then arrive at Fletcher Jones on or around 1/21.
