W204 damage magnet?
Are MBs damage magnets, just me, or just this car?
2wks; scratch down driver's side passenger door and rear quarter panel. Not deep enough to be an intentional keying, looks like somebody was carrying something by that scraped.
3wks; rock hits bottom of front spoiler gouging plastic. Bought touch up paint and filled. Still visible if you know what you're looking for.
1.5mo; quarter sized rock impact crater in the windshield. Filled so that it won't run over the winter but will require windshield be replaced in the spring.
3mo; rock punches hole in lower grill. Seeing as how touch up paint touch 4wks, I'm guessing I'll be waiting for 4mo for this to show up. Parts dept didn't have a price either, but based on paint being $30 I'm sure the flimsy plastic will by $400.
3mo 1wk; washed car to find 4" long gash in drivers side rocker panel. It's mystery how it got there. Plastic is shredded around the gash so I'm guessing it was another road debris.
I've never owned a car that's sustained as much damage during it's lifetime let alone in the first 3mo. Wife's 4Runner was 7yrs old with 105k miles on it when we sold it. Worst it had was a couple of rock chips on the hood. I've never had a car with a door ding, but plenty of rock chips.
The way this is shaping up, I'm certainly glad I leased it. If I had emotional attachment I'd be a wreck.

I feel your pain, but if the damage is determined to be "in excess of normal wear and tear" at the end of the lease, you'll have to pay to get it repaired at that time. Better (cheaper) to have it done beforehand.

You haven't been off-roading, eh? Sorry, just kidding; I feel your pain.
