I haven't seen this for myself, but it looks like a clever design. At least you dont have to drill holes thru the front of your bumper...only on the bottom, where nobody will notice it.
I was going to drive without it until I get stopped and then affix it to or through the lower mesh grille. I like the product in the link. That is a great idea.

I haven't had one on my Volvo in over a year. I was stopped for speeding and the cop said nothing about my missing front plate. Man, I hate that law.

i was thinking the same thing. the lower grill is a little smaller then the plate so it would be hanging over the bumper. have you thought of a good solution?

One of the many things I am working on. I'll post solution when I figure it out.

I'll be interested in what you come up with. I have the car for 2 months and still have the dealer registration on windshield, and the plates in the trunk. Will use that diversion as long as I can.

I had my 05 c230 for 3 years without a front plate. I ordered and didnt let them put it on. Never got pulled over.

I just bought an 08 c300 and it had ithe front plate on it. I'm not worried. I have cool plates and the cops are cracking down around here. They actually went to the dealership and *****ed them out for letting cars go.

On a side note, the cars look a lot better without them. If you have nice plates it's no big deal.

C300 Sport 4Matic
My new C300 4Matic sport arrives first week of March and I definitely don't plan on permanently mounting the front plate. However, I need to have one mounted to pass inspection. I see the tow-hook mount as a good way to pass inspection without drilling the bumper. I just ordered the no-drill mounting bracket.

Also....I'm fortunate that I live in Massachusetts where some cars have old "green" numbered plates which are grandfathered in that they only need a rear plate. These are being phased out with "red" numbered plates which require two plates. The good news is that we stil have about 30% of all cars with only rear plates, so my naked front end won't stick out like a sore thumb as I game the system.

Counting the days until March!!!!!

Were you able to part the part # for tow hook bolt? That's the info required by GOMINIGO to be absolutely sure it will work on a W204.

C300 Sport 4Matic
http://www.gominigo.com/NHLPB-MB.html

They have a picture of the plate mounted on the C350 on this link along with ordering information. The new bracket for the 2008 C300 and C350 will not be ready to ship until February 4th. I went to order and someone from the company confirmed that the part will work on the 2008 C300.

i took the liberty to post the picture from the www.gominigo.com website for those who are too lazy to click on the link

i think i will get one for those for my out of town trips. i live in Irvine, CA and for the most part, cops dont seem to care whether you have the front license plate on or not, but i know in LA and San Diego, people get pulled over all the time. this is a great solution since i can remove it when i dont need it.

* i pulled the trigger and orderd one, will post some actual photos when i get it. i also used coupon code GMGWS1 to get 10% off if anyone is interested.

good question. i never bothered to look! i never owned a car with tow hooks before so im not even sure how that works. i just know that this license plate bracket screws in where the tow hook should be.

Cool.

I messed with the tow hook cover last night and couldn't remove it. I better check the manual.

2014 Ghibli S Q4 & 2008 C350
I noticed on the gominigo site that they say the C350 comes with a large hook labeled as JB S. I noticed mine is actually labeled JB F. It could even be JB E with the lower portion of the E not stamped cleanly, hard to tell.

Anyways, I called and talked to them today and they said not to worry, that as long as you order the C350 part, you get the correct one sent to you.

Ordering mine today. Should ship tomorrow.
